CROSTINI

For crostini, take a good french bread, toast, and then cover with the topping.

Mushroom Crostini

2 cloves garlic
1 lb mushrooms
salt and pepper
1/4 cup minced Italian parsley

Saute the garlic and mushrooms, very thinly sliced, in olive oil. Add a small amount of salt, and add pepper. Toast bread, then add mushrooms and some parsley.

Olive Crostini

black olives
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp rosemary
green olives

Puree one type of olives with 1 clove garlic and 1 tsp rosemary (original recipe called for 8 oz of each type of olives).
