KOOTO1 cup moong dal1 small potato 1 carrot 1/2 cup peas 1/2 cup green beans 1/2 cup graded coconut 1-2 dried red chiles 1 tsp or so tumeric 1 tsp cumin salt Wash dal and cook with some water, gradually adding more water in fairly small increments. Halfway add finely chopped potato and carrot. A little while later add salt and tumeric along with peas and beans. Meanwhile grind coconut and chiles with some water. Add to dal with cumin, and cook until flavors blend. |
